Three graduate from motor school
Front Row (L-R): Officers Jeff Coe, Charles Smith, and Johnny Beason
Back Row (L-R): Officer Paul Christ, Sergeants Mike Paulk and Jim Gregg
Congratulations to Officers Jeff Coe, Charles Smith (Prince George's Division) and Johnny Beason on their successful graduation from police motorcycle school. An intensive two-week program, the motor school teaches officers how to safely ride police motorcycles. Officers learn how to maneuver 800-pound Electra Glide Harley-Davidson motorcycles in tight quarters, while gradually increasing their speed as their skills improve.
The officers also completed an 185-mile cross-county trip on wet roads through the Catoctin Mountains in the dark.
Thanks to Instructors Officer Paul Christ, Sergeants Mike Paulk and Jim Gregg (Prince George's Division) for instructing the class. The officers will now use their skills to patrol the paved trails throughout Montgomery and Prince George's Counties, Maryland.
